What a day! We took Jack in his Kelty Elite backpack on the T to Boston Commons to meet up with some friends. Jack took his first swan boat ride, got to run around in the park and then we all went off to Finale, a "desserterie" for dessert and THEN over to the North End (the local Little Italy part of town) for the Feast of St. Anthony where, we were led to believe, there would be food galore. Well, after a lot of walking we finally ended up eating some pizza off the Freschetta truck and some fried dough. And now we're home and exhausted. Jack is a heavy child to carry around all day!(9:55 PM)

I've decided to become a writer of self-help books. Here are some ideas I had this morning in bed. What do you think?

Beef Stock-Free Vegetable Soup for the Vegatarian's Soul
It Tastes Like Chicken Soup for the Cannibal's Soul

Ok, so Apple's latest store is opening at the Northshore Mall tomorrow morning. Do I go? Do I get up early and get in line to be one of the first 100 people? Am I that big of a geek? Nah, I doubt it. My mornings just don't start that quickly (though, they will when I go back to work after next week). But I will probably go up there on Sunday just to gawk. I'll leave my credit card at home.(10:48 PM)

Ok, I hate it when the Red Sox are on the west coast. This is the third night in a row I've been up past 1AM watching baseball. Granted, it's given me ample time to really work on my website and this lovely new design which I'm currently very fond and will certainly hate in a month leading to a new redesign and granted, I could have just gone to sleep and read about the game online in the morning, but we're in late August. This is when I get truly obsessed with baseball. I even wrote baseball haikus today. Really! Here they are:

Yankees and Mets suck
How much to buy the series?
Ask Geroge Steinbrenner.

Like an old man with
An erectile dysfunction.
Red Sox World Series?

Boston fans are nuts
This year is always the year
But it never is

Frazee sold the Babe
Tea for Two? No-No Nanette!
Curse the Bambino

Obsessed with baseball?
Me? I can stop any time.
I just don't want to.

So, there you have it. I'm insane.(1:21 AM)

How to Avoid Being Attacked in the Shower"Like millions, perhaps even billions, of people, David Schmidt of Amherst, Mass., takes a shower every morning. For the last few years, between first spritz and final drain, a question has vexed him: why does the shower curtain suck in?"(1:19 AM)

Every so often I do a search for "Affleck Castle." The links below are courtesy google.com. I love the site (below) that has a lego replica. The man who builds all of these lego castles is insane and I'm in awe. What a wonderful hobby!(11:12 PM)

Well, here it is! An all new website design, an all new way of doing things. I decided that I no longer wanted a static home page and made the main page itself the weblog. So, we'll see how this goes! It also helps that I got a job and don't need to worry so much about the look of this site or the editorial content. If I go back on the job hunt, I may very well hide the weblog again!(9:17 PM)
