The First Month

The first month went by in a blur of sleepless nights and panic attacks. In other words, it was completely normal. If it wasn't for Jack's Grandparents, we never would have survived it. I mean, just having someone there to tell you that what you are unsure about is perfectly OK has enormous value. So, we weathered the storm of the time we found out that Ann's pain medication was drugging the baby. We made it through the trauma of discovering that he has acid reflux problems and that a simple dose of Mylanta was enough to solve it. And we got through those sleepless nights. Actually, they were never that bad. He always gave us 3-5 hour blocks of sleep.

Below are some pictures from the first month.
