The First 48 Hours

After Jack was born, we spent the first few days in the hospital just thrilled to be in a place where there were so many people willing and able to help us out. And, best of all, at night, they took him away the nursery giving us a false sense of security by making us believe we would actually be able to sleep through the nights. How wrong we were.

Right after he was born, we filmed a small video just to get something out on the Internet for our friends and family. It's mainly a short collection of shots of the baby yawning which is pretty much all he did those first two days.

Once we felt comfortable and able to handle things, they sent us home. This was the most frightening moment of all. Suddenly we were going to be on our own. But, as you can see in the Coming Home Video, we had help in the form of grandparents...
